Unlock time in your region

Mudtek posted the unlock hour two days ahead, with a list of local times. The Asian cities on the list crossed midnight, so players there got the game on the Wednesday.

The store countdown was wrong

In the days before launch the Steam store page showed a countdown to an earlier hour. The same announcement called it a scheduling mistake on the studio’s side, said the local times in its list were the correct ones, and repeated that the game would unlock at 18:00 CEST as planned. If you watched the countdown reach zero and the game stayed locked, that is the mismatch the post describes, not a delay. Mudtek’s launch post went up minutes before the real unlock.

How the date was announced

The Early Access date was first given in a summer update that also announced the end of the demo:

We’ll start off with mentioning the date for Dimraeth’s Early Access Release: September 15th!

Why the demo was taken down at the same time is covered on the Dimraeth demo page. The price the game launched at, and the discount that came with it, is on Dimraeth price.

How long Early Access will last

18–24months, the store’s rough estimate for Early Access
TBAfull release, as marked on the official roadmap

We aren’t setting a fixed date as our priority is quality and reaching every milestone on our roadmap before we leave Early Access.

Mudtek. From the Early Access notes on the Dimraeth Steam store page

Roughly we expect a 18 to 24 month window, but the pace at which we land major content updates (new zones, races, end-game systems) and act on player feedback will guide the timeline more than any calendar.

Mudtek. From the Early Access notes on the Dimraeth Steam store page

So the 18 to 24 months is a range, not a promise, and it is tied to content milestones. The next of those are two race and class updates and then Act II; they have no dates either. Both are on the Dimraeth roadmap, and what the build holds until then is on what is in Dimraeth Early Access.

Full release and consoles

The full release date matters for more than the PC version. Asked about a Switch release, a developer said consoles do not take Early Access games, so any console version has to wait until full release. The details, and what has been said about each platform, are on Dimraeth platforms.
