Dimraeth NPCs and where to find them
The first hours send you to a small cast. Faustas the wizard starts you off in the Sanctum; in Earlwood’s guild hall, Alaric gives the main quest and a free spell, Rahaner trains you and hands over gathering tools, and Manga runs the forge. Tamson and Rahaner craft spell books, and Befr and Myrll are the recruits whose Sanctum shops sell the respec potion and pets.

Who is where, at a glance
| Character | Where you meet them | What they give or sell | Spelling taken from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Faustas | The Sanctum, right after the Lost Caverns; later at the waygate north of it | Learning to Build, which unlocks the first blueprints | Store page |
| Alaric | The guild hall in Earlwood Village | A free class spell or spellbook; The Time Tardy Scout | Trailer quest tracker |
| Rahaner | The guild hall | Training (spend XP), physical spell books, skill point respec, free gathering tools | Players and a forum moderator (captions vary) |
| Manga | The forge in Earlwood | Salvage and gear upgrades | Mudtek's playtest release notes |
| Tamson (Fairweather?) | Earlwood, around the guild hall in two recordings | Magic spell books; enchants banners | First name in four creators' captions; surname in one |
| Befr | Earlwood, then your Sanctum once recruited | A shop that, upgraded, sells a respec elixir, per a creator, a player guide and the moderator | Mudtek's devlog and patch notes |
| Myrll | Your Sanctum | Companion trade (pets); spells | Mudtek's playtest patch notes |
| The elf scout | The Wildwood Forest, during The Time Tardy Scout | The end of that quest | Uncertain: El Dorian, Eldorian, Eldderon in captions |
Several of these characters are mostly heard, not read, so the names people type into searches vary: Faustas turns up as Fosters or Foustas, Rahaner as Raina or Rainar. The spellings here follow Mudtek’s own writing (store page, patch notes, trailer) wherever Mudtek has written the name; the table says where each spelling comes from. The order you meet them in is on the Dimraeth walkthrough.
Faustas, the wizard
The store page introduces him:
“The venerable wizard Faustas recruits you to stand with Mirkea’s free peoples against Sylbos and the dark gods.”
Mudtek. From the Dimraeth Steam store page
- Where: as a projection in the Sanctum when you leave the Lost Caverns. A player who transcribed his first lines quotes “And that dastardly Droop was drinking the magic dry.” After the first quest he waits at the waygate north of the camp.
- Gives: Learning to Build. Larry Puss says finishing it “unlocks the blueprints for your workbench, alchemy station, and storage chest”. What those need is on Dimraeth crafting.
- Later: in Into.the.Wicked’s recording he asks you to “come to my tower beyond the wildwood”.
Alaric, in the guild hall
The trailer’s quest tracker spells the name: under The Time Tardy Scout it reads Find and speak to Alaric in the Guild Hall. A player on the forum quoted his briefing under the heading “Here’s some awful dialogue from Alaric”, including “One of my scouts hasn’t check in. He’s careless with time, so I’m not panicking.”
- Gives: a spell. Larry Puss: “Alleric will also give you a new spell depending on your class, completely free for you to learn and use.” Learning it is covered on Dimraeth spells.
- Quest: The Time Tardy Scout, which you return to him to finish.
Rahaner, the trainer
Captions render the name as Raina, Rainar, Raana or Rahanner; players and the forum moderator write Rahaner. A player on Reddit noticed a detail of the character model: “Rahaner can still cross both arms despite only having one hand”.
Manga, the blacksmith
Mudtek’s playtest release notes spell it: “Manga’s forge has been updated”. In The Gutter Goblin’s recording the introduction runs “If you seek steel or speech, I shall provide.” “I am called Manga.” SwoleBenji meets Manga as soon as they arrive: “Upon reaching town, we’re going to talk to Manga here.”
The forge is where gear gets broken down and improved. SwoleBenji’s route through the menu: “go to forge and then go to salvage and then salvage everything in your inventory”, then upgrade with the shards. Upgrade tiers and sets are on Dimraeth equipment.
Tamson Fairweather, the enchanter
Four creators’ captions agree on Tamson; only Into.the.Wicked’s give the surname (“I’m Tamson Fairweather.”), and The Gutter Goblin’s read it as Tasine Feather, so treat the surname as uncertain. The character’s own line in The Gutter Goblin’s recording: “I weave and enchant the banners of the old wood.” What creators use Tamson for is crafting magic spell books from the recipes you find; Into.the.Wicked’s spellbook dialogue points you to “Trade with Tamson or Rainar if you require more.”
Befr, a Sanctum recruit
Mudtek’s devlog about Earlwood mentions Befr: “A small circle of children and squirrels gathered near old Befr, begging for one more story before nightfall.” Revvy’s captions read it as Bever. Befr matters because of the respec potion, and a forum moderator (not a developer) laid out the steps:
“Befr needs to have joined the Sanctum, and you will need to complete his building quest to get the "Facilities Center" station, which allows you to upgrade all NPC stations in the Sanctum.”
Wizardmanguy, a forum moderator. Posted in the Steam thread Steam discussion: Can't I reset my skill points?
- Get Befr to join the Sanctum
A Reddit player believes it is by rescuing a lost child on the Dryad quest line; Mudtek has not said.
- Finish Befr’s building quest
It unlocks the Facilities Center, per the moderator.
- Upgrade the shop and buy the potion
Revvy buys it as the Elixir of Rebirth for 500 gold. Revvy says shop level 1, a Reddit player says level 2. Not everyone found it: My name is Zhun said they “haven’t seen an option to reset your stats”. Both sides are on Dimraeth leveling and respec.
One pre-launch patch note refers to Befr’s station: “Made befr workbench have a larger interact radius so players notice its interactable”.
Myrll, pets and spells
Myrll’s spelling also comes from Mudtek’s patch notes, from the playtest: “Fixed seed bomb spell not being available at myrll”. LightItUpDan’s captions call the character Miral and list them as another source of magic spells. A player who unlocked a pet went to the Sanctum and found it under the “Myrll Companion Trade menu”. The pets themselves are on Dimraeth pets.
The elf scout
The scout’s name is uncertain. Larry Puss’s captions have “an elf named El Dorian”; SwoleBenji’s have Eldorian; The Gutter Goblin’s and Into.the.Wicked’s have Eldderon. You find the scout in the Wildwood Forest, and the scout then heads back to the village. Meeting the scout also opens a dialogue option with other characters; SwoleBenji says “we can then ask, "What do you think of Eldorian?"”

Basilton, the Wildwood Golem

That label is all the store screenshot shows. Where Basilton is and what the conversation leads to are not documented yet.
Talking, trust and recruiting
Exhausting dialogue is how the next quests open, and some of these characters end up living in your base. Recruiting, the Facilities Center and what shops sell once upgraded are on the Dimraeth Sanctum page; how far relationships go is on Dimraeth romance and allies.
