Dimraeth builds recorded on the Early Access build
There is no Dimraeth tier list from Mudtek; the studio pointed build talk to its subreddit and Discord. What exists are builds creators actually played on the Early Access build, and the clearest is SwoleBenji’s Minotaur Brawler starter: Strength only, stacking bleeds with Vortex and Rending Strike. Below are six recorded builds by archetype, each credited to whoever ran it.
The six at a glance
| Build | Archetype | Recorded by | Core idea | Attributes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bleed and rage starter | Minotaur Brawler | SwoleBenji (video) | Vortex into Repeating Vortex, then Rending Strike; stack bleeds | Strength only |
| Wildstrider with Gorehorn | Human Brawler | LightItUpDan (video) | Rage from the class wing, Gorehorn set for crit | Not given |
| Damage over time, detonated | Elf Shadow | Zhun (video) | Apply burns, detonate with Chronospike; Flaming Strike for a while | Magic damage first, then Adventure and Energy for Flaming Strike |
| Temporal Surge into Double Strike | Elf, class not stated | Larry Puss (video) | Backstab Strike stacks Temporal Surge; Echo of Mutilation converts it | All Agility (they call it a mistake for hybrid spells) |
| Bleed everything | Human, which they call a rogue | Pixel Rookie (video) | Bleed tick nodes, throwing knives, crafted bleed spells | Not given |
| Fast Fireball | Elf Mage | A player on the Steam forum | Fireball concentration nodes, piercing and igniting Fireball | Intelligence and Memory; Physique dumped |
None of these is ranked against the others, because no source ranks them. Skill and node names are as each creator says them; auto-captions garble some, so only names that come through clearly are used here.
What a build is made of
- Archetype race weapon, class spells
- Attributes bought with XP
- Skill tree nodes and modifiers
- Five spells tree, trainers, bosses
- Gear sets set bonuses
The pieces are explained on their own pages: Dimraeth archetypes, attributes and leveling, the skill tree, and equipment and sets. The forum moderator’s advice for putting them together is short:
“I recommend focusing on one-two skills and revolving your build around that.”
SwoleBenji: Minotaur Brawler bleed and rage starter
SwoleBenji built this as a character to farm gear for later characters. Their reasoning for the pairing: “it’s an AoE melee cleave character, and you you play it as physical and bleed rage damage.” On rage, they add “Rage is a buff that gives you more attack damage”.
- Attributes: “All you are going to be doing is putting points into strength. Nothing else.” They are explicit that it only suits this one archetype: “putting everything into strength to build stamina only works on the miniitar brawler class.”
- Skill tree, first: from the start of the left side, health boosts, up to Minotaur Blood and attack speed, then left to max bleeding and “Vortex. This is our whirlwind ability. Does lots of damage, applies bleed.” “And when it branches off, we’re going to go into repeating vortex.”
- Skill tree, second: back toward strike damage, then “So we’re going to go to rending strike. And this will be our second opportunity or way to put bleed on the target.” The payoff: “So, with this and with repeating vortex, we can stack up to nine bleeds so far.” After that they work toward Furious Strike and bleed nodes.
- Gear: keep the starting Lifebloom pieces: “because we have three life bloom, we get a plus 30 HP.” They prefer flat health and flat stats early over percentage bonuses: “So, my recommendation is that you just hold on to these life bloom items until you get some really Gucci stuff.”
- Pace: “Level 10 is more than enough to be able to do everything in act or the first chapter.”
SwoleBenji played on moderate difficulty. Their route through the opening areas is folded into the Dimraeth beginner guide.
LightItUpDan: Human Brawler (Wildstrider) with Gorehorn
“For my character, I’ve picked human brawler, making me a wild strider.” LightItUpDan’s class damage came from the west wing: “And west had class damage skills and buffs, for example, utilizing rage for my wild strider.” Their set pick:
“I’m all about the Gorehorn set for that additional crit rate and that blood frenzy passive.”

On gear upgrades they say “I like upgrading to at least plus two to get the first bonus stat as a solid starting point.” They do not give an attribute plan.
Zhun: Elf Shadow, damage over time and Chronospike
“I was on my first playthrough on my elf shadow.” “I was going for a build that basically focused on applying dots and then detonating them all at once for increased damage with my chronospike.” Zhun went into magic damage first. The turning point was Flaming Strike, which needed stats they had skipped: “the requirements for flaming … strike are seven memory, eight adventure, and seven energy”. Once they had them: “Nothing else stacked as much burning damage, and that allowed my Chronospike to synergize a lot better.” It did not last forever: “a couple of hours later, I found way better spells for what I was trying to do, which meant removing flaming strike from my skill bar”. They do not name the replacements. Their gear set example in the same video is from the demo, so it is left out here.
Larry Puss: Elf, Temporal Surge into Double Strike
Larry Puss calls their character an assassin build, leaning on thrust damage. They note “the elf class has a passive called Night Whisper”, which adds stamina per Agility point, and they put everything into Agility. They flag the cost: “Now, that’s not necessarily a bad build if you’re going for a full stamina spell build.” but not for thrust-and-ice spells, which need Memory, Adventure and Energy. The engine of the build:
- Backstab Strike, a stamina-only thrust spell, gives a stack of Temporal Surge.
- In the tree, “Echo of Mutilation, it says it can convert up to 10 stacks of temporal surge into double strike buffs.”
- Each Double Strike stack makes a swing deal its damage twice, per the Codex entry they show.
For gear, they farm named sets using the Codex, which lists who drops each; for the Convergence set, “In this case, the Dryads and Wildwood Wolf will drop most of the pieces.” They then moved that set to a new character in the same world: “I’ve joined my existing world with my fresh human mage character and I can already equip a full convergence set on him that I farmed earlier with my assassin.”
Pixel Rookie: Human bleed build
“as a human rogue, I focused my build on bleed damage, but Keith was a minotaur mage that focused on ice magic.” Pixel Rookie took nodes that raised the number and damage of bleed ticks, then “Then I eventually reached a skill that let me throw knives that cause bleeding.” “I paired this with additional spells I unlocked and crafted from exploring for even more bleeding abilities, and suddenly everything I did caused bleeding.” Their review does not give node names, attributes or gear, and it does not detail Keith’s ice Minotaur Mage beyond the element.
A forum player: Elf fire Mage with a fast Fireball
Posted in a thread by an Elf Mage player who wanted to stay at range. The player’s plan:
“For stats I focused on Int and Memory, with Physique as the dump stat.”
“For Fireball I went for the two concentration boost nodes, then piericng fireball, and finally igniting fireball getting those three buring modifiers.”
“I'm only level 9 but with that fireball is on a 2second cd. Also I have 3 piece fire gear and 2 piece concentration.”
Is there a best build or tier list?
Not from Mudtek. The launch announcement expected build questions and pointed them to community channels:
“there will probably be a lot of players wanting to show their builds and/or having questions about builds and we’ll have places both on the subreddit and discord to talk about these things”
Mudtek. From the Steam announcement: Official EA Release, Feedback, and Thank You!
Two of the creators above say outright they are not handing you a meta. Larry Puss: “rather than giving you one OP build and telling you what to equip, I think it’s much more useful to show you how these systems actually work together”. Zhun: “I’m a true believer in the concept of teaching a man to fish instead of just shoving fish into his mouth.” Revvy said they would cover Shadow builds in their next video. Where those channels are is on the Dimraeth Discord and subreddit page.
Test before you commit
- Use the training dummy. LightItUpDan: “you will unlock the ability to craft a wooden training dummy in the Sanctum pretty early on”.
- Skill points are cheap to move; attributes may not be. The attribute respec is disputed between sources; see Dimraeth leveling and respec before copying a single-stat plan.
- Keep sets for later characters. Larry Puss: “I would really recommend crafting enough chests and saving your sets for different builds you might want to try and experiment with later.”
- Farm the drops you need. Beaten bosses become repeatable bounties, which is where boss-specific sets and boss spell materials come from; see Dimraeth bosses.
