Dimraeth Guide: Classes, Races and What Early Access Really Has

The store page describes the finished game: eight races, six classes, 48 archetypes. The build you can buy has three races (Human, Minotaur, Elf), three classes (Brawler, Mage, Shadow) and a level cap of 25. This guide covers the build you can play today: what is in it, how to get through the first hours, and what to do when something breaks.

All nine archetypes in Early Access

Your race and class together make an archetype, and each archetype has its own skill tree and passive. These are the nine that exist right now: race by row, class by column. Names marked player list only have not been confirmed anywhere else yet.

What is in the game, and what is only planned

Some of what the store promises is already in the game and some is only planned for the full release. Each row says which, in Mudtek’s own words.

How far owners have got

Steam publishes the share of owners holding each achievement. Read as milestones, they show where the playerbase stands: nearly everyone clears the opening quest, far fewer reach level 10, and very few have seen the end of Act I.

The questions players keep asking

Stuck quests, stamina, storage, spells and whether it is worth buying: the answers players look for most in the first days of Early Access.

Where to go after the Lost Caverns

The first main quests step by step: Learning to Build, the waygate to Earlwood and The Time Tardy Scout.

Stuck, kicked to the menu, or a quest will not finish

The fixes developers have posted for the camp soft-lock, the title-screen kick and Maintaining the Defenses.

Stutter, lag and slow motion

Why solo play runs heavier than joining a friend, and the settings players use to steady the frame rate.

Out of stamina mid-fight

What stamina and concentration pay for, how each refills, and what a perfect block does.

Where new spells come from

The free spellbook in Earlwood, the trainers who sell more, and the attribute requirements that lock a spell.

Planks, nails and the workbench

The first blueprints, what each station makes, and why eating and drinking matter for your bars.

Who is Faustas, Alaric or Rahaner?

The characters the first hours send you to, where they stand and what each one hands you.

Is Hard worth it?

What the difficulty setting changes, when you choose it, and what a developer said about rewards.

Mouse movement, sprint and dash, controller aim

What can be rebound, what cannot, and the controller setting for attacking where you face.

How the skill tree is laid out

Class to the east and west, race to the north and south, and what a point buys.

What to build first

The build plans creators recorded on the Early Access build, and which class each one is for.

Storage chests, planks and the Sanctum

Where storage chests are placed, why you run out of planks, and the tent that traps you.

Gear slots, upgrades and sets

Twelve slots, the forge, and why your armor never shows on your character.

Allies and romance

What the store promises for relationships, and what recruiting to the Sanctum does.

Is the dialogue AI-written?

What the store page said, what it says now, and what the developers have and have not answered.

Is it worth it right now?

What Steam reviewers praise, what makes others refund, and how the two sides split by topic.

Windows on Steam, and only Steam for now

The demo that ran before launch is gone, and why it was taken down is on the Dimraeth demo. The exact unlock time and how long Early Access is expected to last are on Dimraeth release date.

What is Dimraeth?

A pixel-art action RPG set in Mirkea. Fights are about stamina and timing: you read an enemy’s telegraph, then strike, dodge, block or parry, with five spells equipped at once. Between trips you return to your Sanctum to craft, cook and build, and up to 8 players can share a world.

It is the first game from a small studio; who they are is on the Dimraeth developer, and where they answer questions between patches is on the Dimraeth Discord and Reddit.

Quick answers

How many races and classes are in Dimraeth right now?

Three of each in Early Access: Human, Minotaur and Elf, and Brawler, Mage and Shadow. That makes nine archetypes. The eight races and six classes on the store page are the plan for the full release.

What is the level cap?

Level 25, the cap for Act I. Mudtek has said the cap goes up as new acts are added.

Is Dimraeth multiplayer?

Yes, online co-op for up to eight players, with one player hosting. There is no split screen in Early Access.

Is Dimraeth on PS5, Xbox or Switch?

Not now: it is on Steam for Windows only. Asked about Switch 2, a developer said the team wants it but consoles do not take Early Access games, so it would have to wait for the full release. PS5 and Xbox have not been mentioned.

Is there an endgame?

After Act I, deeds let you replay bosses and dungeons at higher difficulty tiers for better loot.

Talk to the developers

Mudtek reads the Steam forum, the subreddit and Discord, and patches are tested on an opt-in Steam branch before they ship.
