Dimraeth developer: Mudtek

Dimraeth is made and published by Mudtek, a small studio for which it is the first game. The game director, Phillip, writes the design blogs, and the art director is Vancris Balanon. On the Steam forum the developers answer as Shindaru, Viakaros, Mudtek and CodexMaster.

This being our first game and self-published we’ve learned a lot and at every stage the community has helped us.

The store’s Early Access notes give size as the reason for Early Access: As a small studio, the best way to get those systems balanced, the world feeling alive, and the player journey landing right is to put it in your hands as early as possible and tune it together. How long that is expected to take, and what comes next, is on the Dimraeth roadmap.

The people who sign their posts

Game DirectorPhillipWrites the long design blogs on the Steam news feed: Earlwood Village, combat, character creation, crafting and building, and the first playtest summary. The first post says This is likely the first time you’ve heard from me directly.
Art DirectorVancris BalanonWrote the blog on the game’s visual style, built around Earlwood Village, and credits a narrative director with shaping how the village ties into the world’s history.
Steam Deck updateJosephSigned the early post on getting combat running on their own Steam Deck, which is covered on Dimraeth on Steam Deck.

I’m Vancris Balanon, Art Director of Dimraeth.

Earlwood Village, the town those two blogs are built around, is the first town players reach; where it sits is on the Dimraeth map. The narrative director is not named in any post.

Recognition

Before the demo, Dimraeth won Most Anticipated Game at the pitch competition of Gamescom Asia with the Thailand Game Show. Mudtek’s announcement thanked the organisers by name: this would not be possible without Gamescom Asia, Thailand Game Show, and Agora Gaming Partners.

Which accounts speak for the studio

Knowing the badge matters, because moderators and helpful players answer a lot of questions too. Only a developer’s reply is the studio’s word.

The official website is behind

A player found the official website listing only Human and Minotaur, Brawler and Magician just before launch. A developer replied:

Shindaru Developer, replying on the Steam forum

Website is out of date. Post EA it’ll get updates it’s just been pretty busy around here.

Thread: Steam discussion: Hi, is the website not updated? Need to see all available Races and Classes

The races and classes actually in the Early Access build are on Dimraeth races and Dimraeth classes.
