Dimraeth stuck quests: side quests that will not finish, by name
Players report three kinds of stuck Dimraeth side quest. In the first, the item is not where players expect it: Glimmerflax is a flower, Befr’s tools are in a crate rather than the loose ones on the ground, and Food Scraps Request wants five apples and five critter meat held in your inventory at once. In the second, a counter resets, as in Measure Twice and Bread for Steel, until you stay near the marker or pick in one go. In the third, the quest state broke, and there players report leaving to the menu and back, or dropping the quest and waiting; for several quests the reports end without a fix. Mudtek’s newest hotfix list says it “Fixes some quests not being finishable” but names none, so a quest listed here as stuck may have changed since; the patch notes page has the whole list.

Stuck quests at a glance
Each row is written the way the tracker or the asking player wrote it, so search this page for the name on your own tracker. The rows run from the answer a developer gave, to fixes another player gave, to quests reported broken with no fix.
| Quest | What the tracker asks | What to try | Who says so |
|---|---|---|---|
| Food Scraps Request | Turn in apples and critter meat at the deed board | Hold 5 apples and 5 critter meat in the inventory; the turn-in button then becomes clickable | Developer Viakaros, who also said the quest itself may be bugged |
| Heirloom in the Loom | Find the Glimmerflax for Tamsin | It is a flower, in the south-centre area of the circle | Players on r/dimraeth |
| Measure Twice | Break the probing skirmish at the perimeter bedgrow | It comes in waves (six or seven counted); stay close to the marker; leave to the menu and back if enemies respawn at once | Three players on r/dimraeth |
| Bread for Steel | Tenderberries, counter 0/10; later a supply NPC to hand in to | Pick ten in a row from the base; the NPC is the one wearing a backpack at the camp | The player who hit it; one other player on the NPC |
| Yard and Code | Hanging bell-lines at the marked spots | Find the yellow glowing orb at the marked spot and interact; bells cannot be sold | One player; the asker was still stuck |
| Befr: A Merchant’s Tool | Tools in the forest area the game marks | The loose tools cannot be picked up; use the glowing tool bag or crate nearby | Two players |
| Emberblooms Need | Donate Emberblooms at the Deed Board | Donate 6 Emberblooms | One player |
| Craft a life flask +! | Craft an improved flask, on an old character in another world | Suggested, not confirmed: craft a flask and improve it, or craft another and improve that new one | Forum moderator Wizardmanguy and a player; the asker did not post a result |
| Corrupted Hunter | Slay the Corrupted Wolves (0/4) | No fix posted; two players report the counter does not move | Players; no reply with a fix |
| Story quest, Trent will not spawn | Kill the Trent | No fix posted | One player; no replies |
| Rite of the Clear Will | Defeat the Corrupted Guardian | None posted; four threads report the Guardian not spawning or the objective stopping | Players; no replies with a fix |
Quest and character names are spelled differently by players, by video captions and by this site’s Dimraeth NPCs page (the Heirloom in the Loom objective says Tamsin where the NPC page says Tamson; players also call the Bread for Steel NPC a supply manager and a resource manager). Each name below is kept as the player wrote it. Quests that already have their own page are at the bottom: A First Adventure, Maintaining the Defenses and the first main quests.
Food Scraps Request
Developer answered Thread: Can't figure out how to complete the quest Food scraps request
Turn in apples and critter meat at the deed board. The asker could not see how to donate them and wrote “I’ve tried dragging them from my inventory onto the board but that just drops them”.
Do not drag. Have 5 apples and 5 critter meat in the inventory at the same moment, and the turn-in button becomes clickable, per the developer below.
“You have to have 5 apples and 5 critter meat in your inventory and then the turn-in button will be clickable.”
The asker had five of each and still saw no button; the only thing they could point to was “If it’s supposed to be the red tab/flag thing in the corner it still says In Progress”. Viakaros’s second answer leaves room for a bug on his side:
“There could be a bug with that particular quest.”
He added that “on our discord other people we’re able to do it so I don’t think it’s hard locked”, so do not treat it as impossible. The number is where players slipped: one wrote “I had 10 apples and 3 critter meat.” and another “Oh geez I thought it was 10 of EACH”. With the developer’s count of five, three critter meat is short. The thread was opened before Early Access began, so check the counts on your own tracker against it; Mudtek has not said whether the Early Access build changed them.
Heirloom in the Loom
Answered by a player Thread: Heirloom in the loom quest
“Find the Glimmerflax for Tamsin”. The asker did not know what the item looks like and had already cleared the map.
Glimmerflax is a flower. Look in the south-centre area of the circle.
“It’s in the south-center area of the circle”
tsarkees, a player on r/dimraeth. Posted in r/dimraeth thread: Heirloom in the loom quest
“Its a flower”
whatsaucee, a player on r/dimraeth. Posted in r/dimraeth thread: Heirloom in the loom quest
A third player posted a screenshot of where they found it, with “this is where i found the glimmerflax”. The asker got it and wrote “Was convinced this was a bugged quest”, so the thread is a not-bugged case. How to read the map and its regions is on the Dimraeth map guide. The NPC in the objective is written Tamsin by the asker; the NPC page spells the enchanter Tamson, and whether they are the same character is open.
Measure Twice
Answered by a player Thread: Measure twice
“break the probing skirmish at the perimeter bedgrow”. The asker’s problem: “everytime i kill the goblins they immediately respawn them all”.
It is a wave fight, so more spawns are expected. Fight next to the quest marker. If they respawn the instant they die, leave to the menu and come back.
- Waves. One player asked “Might be a wave type mission?”, and another counted it: “there were about 6-7 waves of same spawned mobs. I killed all and the quest completed.”
- Do not stray. “Just try and stick as close as possible to the quest marker, as soon as you go a tiny bit too far it just resets the whole thing.”
- Menu and back. A player who hit the same problem wrote “I went to the menu and came back to the area, they shouldn’t instantly respawn anymore.”
The asker was not convinced: “But they reset while im in the middle of the mob.” That case was left unresolved. The enemy types you meet early are on the Dimraeth enemies page.
Bread for Steel
Answered by a player Threads: Bread for steel; Brwad for steel quest; Issue where the quest NPC for Bread for Steel is invisible.; Bread for Steel bug
The tenderberry counter goes back to 0
Tenderberries, shown as “the quest says 0/10”. The asker wrote that the berries “always reset back to 0 and dont respawn” at the spot the quest marked.
Pick all ten in one go, from the berries at your base. The asker’s own fix, below, and another player says you can plant them yourself.
The asker later understood that the source does not matter and posted “if i picked 10 in a row from the base it worked”. In the same thread a player pointed at the supply side:
“You can plant some in your hub, and there is a few + some seeds in the forest at the begining.”
In a second thread the same player described how it started: “There wasnt enaugh tenderberries on that small radius so i walked away and then my quest reset to 0”. That matches the reset-if-you-stray reports for Measure Twice, but only this one player said it about berries. How to plant crops and use your base is on the Dimraeth Sanctum page.
The quest NPC is not there
A different problem in two other threads: everything is collected and there is nobody to hand it in to. One player had collected ten each of the items and reported “the Supply Manager NPC is nowhere to be found at the location”; a second saw only “I just see the glow in front of some barrels.” A third asker wrote “the Resource Manager does not spawn at Corin’s Camp”. The one answer:
“the resource manager is the one wearing the backpack at camp, go near him & the talk button should appear & if not then yeah it’s a bug”
Yard and Code
Answered by a player Thread: Quest Bug - Yard and Code?
Hanging bell-lines. The asker had the supplies, went to the marked place and wrote “I go to where it is labeled on the minimap and nothing to do to advance the quest.”
The bells are not for sale, so selling them is not the cause. At each marked spot there should be a yellow glowing orb to interact with.
“you can't sell the bells.”
“there should be a yellow, glowing orb thing to interact with”
The asker knew that orb from other quests and could not see it at these spots. Their reading of the step, put as a question that no one confirmed, was “there should be an orb and then press C right?” The answering player then linked two screenshots of the first bell after interaction and added “here’s the first bell after interaction. perhaps you’re bugged”. So the thread ends with a suggested bug and no fix.
Befr: A Merchant’s Tool
Answered by a player Thread: Bugged Main Quest?
Find tools in the forest area the game marks. The asker wrote “I see tools on the ground but I can’t interact with them.”
The tools lying on the ground are not the target. Look for a tool bag or crate with a golden glow, south of the scattered tools.
“There's an actual tool bag that has a golden glow, I believe it's south of the area with the scattered tools, near a camp down there?”
“There's a crate of tools nearby, not the individual saws and whatnot laying on the ground.”
The first answer is hedged about the exact spot, the second agrees on the crate, and the asker thanked them. Befr is one of the Sanctum recruits; who he is and what he sells is on the Dimraeth NPCs page.
Emberblooms Need
Answered by a player Thread: Bounties
“Emberblooms Need (Donate Emberblooms at the Deed Board)”. The asker could not work out where or how.
Donate six. The asker’s tracker line, as typed, has no number in it.
“You need to donate 6 Emberblooms”
One player said this; no developer answered in the thread. Food Scraps Request is also a deed-board donation, and there a developer said the button only becomes clickable once the full count is in your inventory. Whether Emberblooms Need works the same way is not said, but carrying the whole amount to the board costs nothing to try.
Craft a life flask +!
Answered by a moderator and a player Thread: Stuck in craft a life flask +! in other world with my old character
Craft an improved life flask. The asker’s thread is about an old character in another world, where the quest would not progress.
Craft an improvement on a flask (a regular one first, if you have none) and see whether the quest progresses. A player adds: craft a new flask and improve that one, no new character needed. The asker said they would try it and posted no result.
“If you craft an improvement on a flask (may have to get a regular one and then upgrade it) will it progress? If it doesn’t, have you tried restarting the world?”
The asker’s first plan was “i’ll try to create a new char and complete the quest”, and a player answered before they did:
“You shouldn’t have to create a new character. Go to your world, craft another flask (use the left arrow to downgrade the recipe if needed), and then improve that new flask”
Wizardmanguy is a moderator, not a developer, and the asker did not say whether the quest then finished. Flask and potion recipes are covered on the Dimraeth crafting page.
Corrupted Hunter
Reported broken, no fix posted Threads: Bounties; Corrupted Hunter Quest Bug?
“Corrupted Hunter (Slay the Corrupted Wolves) (0/4)”. A second asker was told at the deed board to kill at least four in the dark woods.
The counter does not move, and the players who replied call the quest bugged.
One player replied “This Quest is Bug, it’s doesn’t count”. The second asker had been killing corrupted wolves without a break and wrote “its just not completing the quest, not even a tick on the counter.” That is two players, one reply each. A third player said it had happened to them once on wolf and goblin kill quests and described how they judge a bugged one:
“if u clear the map of quests, doing a deep board sweep for example. if u dont see anything, the quests bugged and just abandoned.”
The wording is loose, so it is one player’s test, not a fix. For what wolves do to you in a fight, see the Dimraeth enemies page.
Story quest where the Trent will not spawn
Reported broken, no fix posted Thread: Завис квест. The quest is broken.
A player posted in English and Russian that a story quest needs a Trent kill and the Trent never appears: “The spawn trigger for the Trent—part of a mission—has broken. What should I do? Is there any way to reset or clear the story quest?” They had explored the area and guessed at a cause: “It’s possible one of the mobs died too quickly and didn’t count towards the objective.”
The post drew no replies and does not name the quest. The reset players have posted for a broken boss quest is Woldroot’s (see the last section); it is the fix players give for that quest, not a known fix for this one. Treants are on the enemies page.
Rite of the Clear Will
Reported broken, no fix posted Threads: Is RITE OF THE CLEAR WILL! Quest Bugged?; Quest: Rite of Clear Will; the quest RITE OF CLEAR WILL has a bug; Rite of the clear will BUG; Rite of clear will quest bugged
Players write it Rite of the Clear Will, Rite of Clear Will and in capitals. Four forum threads describe a stop on the objective to defeat the Corrupted Guardian, in these words:
- “At "Defeat the Guardian" the qust stop the Corrupted Guardian dont Spawn.”
- “The quest monsters are unable to spawn properly.”
- “Defeat the corrupted Guardian - can’t go further.”
- The most detailed: “After waves of enemies I saw the corrupted guardians sprite appear but then it disappeared immediately and reloading the game doesn’t help.”
A fifth thread says the boss was already beaten and the quest completion did not trigger. None of the five has a reply with a fix. What players did in the Woldroot case, another boss quest that stopped, is in the last section.
Also reported, with no reply
Rough paper for spellbooks
Not a quest Asked in the same threads as the quests above.
A player on r/dimraeth asked “How are you supposed to get rough paper for spell books?” and whether a recipe had been missed. The one answer:
“You find it in the world, look in the first area in tree stumps and chests i always find some there”
reap1234, a player on r/dimraeth. Posted in r/dimraeth thread: Recipe for rough paper
That is one player’s account of where they pick it up; the reply mentions no recipe. Where spellbooks come from is on the Dimraeth spells page, and the workbench and alchemy recipes are on the crafting page.
Quests with their own page
Maintaining the Defenses
Rahaner had no dialogue to turn it in. The first public hotfix lists “Fixes Maintaining the Defenses quest not able to turn in”. Update the game; the steps and the developer’s replies are on Dimraeth bugs and fixes.
The first hours
Learning to Build, the Sanctum Waygate and The Time Tardy Scout are in order on the Dimraeth walkthrough; the opening path and what to unlock first is on the beginner guide.
A First Adventure
The lost-child quest has its own page, with the search circle, the Dryad fight and every dialogue choice on screen: Dimraeth lost child. The tracker in this frame reads A First Adventure.

When nothing works
Players describe two recovery actions. Each is tied to the quest it came from, so use only the one that matches your quest.
- Leave to the menu and come back to the area
From Measure Twice: “I went to the menu and came back to the area, they shouldn’t instantly respawn anymore.” One player’s account, for enemies that respawned at once.
- Drop the quest, wait, and accept it again
This one is the fix players give for another broken quest, Woldroot’s. It was posted for that quest, accepted from the Bounty Board, after a player skipped ahead by teleporting:
“DO NOT try to skip ahead by teleporting directly to Forest Path Overlook, Lost Guardian or The Forest Throne. This breaks the quest and makes it incompletable. If this happens to you, go to your quest log, drop the quest, wait 3 in-game days, re-accept it, and try again.”
In a second Woldroot thread a player wrote “What I did is I abandoned the quest and waited until the refresh ended, rested and it worked.” Two things limit how far to trust it for your quest. It is posted for Woldroot’s quest only. And the hotfix notes list “Fixes side quests to not be abandonable”, while a Forest King thread above says the quest offered no abandon option, so the drop button may not exist for the quest you are stuck on.
Where to report
Viakaros, a developer, answered the Food Scraps Request thread on the Steam forum and pointed to the official Discord; Mudtek’s hotfix notes cover Maintaining the Defenses. Wizardmanguy answered the flask thread as a moderator. Channels and where developers reply are on the Dimraeth community page. When you report, name the quest as your tracker shows it, what the counter says and whether you had left the marked area; what developers ask for with crashes and lost XP (player.log, character and world files) is on Dimraeth bugs and fixes.
