Dimraeth pets
Dimraeth has 9 pets in Early Access: the patch notes say so, and the Nine Lives achievement asks you to unlock all 9. Mudtek has not published which nine they are. The War Cat is the only one Mudtek has named; players and creators have named a few more. The unlock route players and creators describe: find a pet in the world (wolf pups drop from wolf fights), then buy or pick it up from a trader in your Sanctum.

What Mudtek has said
“New pets: 9 unique pets with different abilities”
Mudtek. From the Early Access patch notes, Steam announcement: Trailer, EA Content Update, Localisation and much more!
Before that, in the post announcing the demo would be taken down, Mudtek showed screenshots of “two new pets (and we have quite a few more)” headed for Early Access. The launch post lists pets first among the new content. That is the whole official record: no list, no stats per pet, no unlock conditions.

The pets named so far
Six names, from four different sources. They are not the list of nine, and names taken from video captions may be misspelled.
| Pet | What is reported | Whose account |
|---|---|---|
| War Cat | Named in the pets panel of Mudtek’s Early Access patch-notes art as one of the new companions. | Mudtek |
| Fangra Cub | Appeared in the companion trade menu after defeating the alpha wolf. | A Steam forum player |
| A wolf pup (SwoleBenji's is called Luna) | Dropped by the wolf in a second, harder wolf fight at the Beast Occupied Ruins. A combat pet that does strike, bleed and chill damage. “I don’t know if they’re always named Luna or if that’s random.” | SwoleBenji |
| A dog | “There’s like this doggo. Uh it does a stun attack.” | SwoleBenji |
| Carryon parrot (spelling from captions) | “the carryon parrot has a dive attack that will activate when he detects that you’ve applied bleeding on a target” | My name is Zhun |
| Moon cat | “the moon cat, who every now and then will give you a huge mana regeneration buff.” | My name is Zhun |
How to unlock a pet
No official walkthrough exists. This is the route pieced together from one player’s thread and two creators:
- Find it or beat it out in the world
Zhun says pets are found around the world. For wolves, the unlock comes from the fight: one player wrote “I defeated the alpha wolf got the message new pet unlocked”, and SwoleBenji: “You beat up the wolf, it drops a pet. It drops a baby version of the wolf that you killed.”
- Go back to the Sanctum
“Pets are unlockable companions that you can find around the world. Once you find them, you can buy them from the pet store.” Zhun adds that you reach the pet store early.
- Look in the companion trade menu
The player above went to Myrll and first could not see the pet, then found it: “Myrll Companion Trade menu Fangra Cub is totally missing for me empty”, followed by “disregard everything I found it”. If yours is not there, check the trade option again before assuming a bug.
Pixel Rookie notes that allies who move into your base can give you access to pets, so recruiting matters here too; see the Dimraeth Sanctum. The wolf fights are on Dimraeth bosses.
What a pet does
Mudtek only says the pets have different abilities. My name is Zhun’s build guide goes further; this is one creator’s account of the Early Access build:
A player on the forum backs up the selling part independently: “I just saw a tooltip saying you can send a pet to the settlement to sell stuff if your inventory is full”. SwoleBenji adds that their wolf pup levels up, and “as it levels up, the more damage it deals”.
Picking a pet for your build
With so few pets documented, the useful rule is to match the pet’s skill to what your build already does. A bleed build gets more from the parrot or SwoleBenji’s wolf; a spellcaster short on concentration gets more from the moon cat, which is the one Zhun, a caster, prefers. Which damage types each class leans on is on Dimraeth builds and Dimraeth classes.
What is not documented yet
- The names of all nine pets, and where each one is.
- Whether any pet is tied to a race, a class or a quest line.
- How far a pet levels, and how much its skill grows with it.
- How pets behave in co-op, where each player brings their own character.
Unlocking all nine is the Nine Lives achievement; the rest of the list is on Dimraeth achievements.
